JAY VAN GRONINGEN, Board Secretary and Resident Expert

Jay has a 30-year career in program development, training, and coaching in Christian Community Development. As the founder and former director of Communities First Association, he supported asset-based community development efforts in more than 300 neighborhoods across North America.

Jay leads workshops and training in asset-based community development and Dignity Serves. Jay practices what he teaches, and his most treasured role is as a board member of Westcore Neighbors, which supports connecting work in the neighborhood he calls home.
