Great Lakes Urban Ministry Values

The Mission of Great Lakes Urban is to start and support urban churches and ministries throughout the Great lakes Region. We Desire to have churches and ministries that are located in some of the highest need neighborhoods from Muskegon, Michigan to Cleveland, Ohio via Holland, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Kalamazoo, Benton Harbor and Detroit.

We Envision vibrant, self-sustaining urban churches and ministries that bring the Good news to some of the most broken parts of our cities in word and deed. We picture multi-racial, indigenous, growing churches that engage in ministry with the community. We desire urban ministries that value Christian community development and look at their community through an asset based perspective that builds on the resources and possibilities that already exist within the community.
